When I called 'The Crack Doctor' the sales person at the other end of the phone was very courteous and polite. They took the time to explain and provide a detailed overview of the process the technician would use to repair the crack in my foundation. They were able to give me the exact cost for the repair. I booked the appointment for the following Friday morning (the sales person informed me the technician would arrive at my home between 9am and 10am).
On Friday, the technician (Jason) called ahead to introduce himself and to inform me that he would be on site within the next 10 to 15 minutes. This was great as it gave me the opportunity to get the dogs crated prior to his arrival. Jason arrived at 9am to the minute; right on schedule with the time the sales person had given me. This was pleasantly surprising (I've been given arrival times from past companies I've dealt with only to spend half my day waiting around for a technician who shows up hours later then the time which I was given).
Jason was super friendly with amazing customer service skills. I spent almost the entire 2 hours downstairs watching the repair and Jason explained every step he was performing during the repair in detail. I didn't want to pester and wasn't going to watch over his shoulder for the entire job (the majority of trades people I've encountered seem not to really want you watching over their shoulder) but Jason actually encouraged me hang out. You could tell he really enjoyed his job and he liked taking the time to explain the work he was performing. The pride that he took in his work was beyond top notch. Being a trades person myself I could tell that the quality of his work was his number one priority (he wasn't at all concerned with time and he wasn't rushing through the job and trying to cut corners like so many other trades people I've witnessed).
At the end of the job, Jason took the time to clean up the work area. I told him not to worry about it and that I would vacuum up but he insisted on taking care of this. He left the work area CLEANER than when he arrived. Wow, a technician who still takes pride in their work and knows that the job isn't over until the clean-up is complete.
This company is registered with the BBB and they have an 'A' rating. I only deal with companies registered with the BBB and with an 'A' rating I have peace of mind knowing this is a company I can trust to stand behind their work. They give a LIFETIME warranty on the repair (and the warranty is TRANSFERRABLE!! if you sell the house ... unbelievable!!). What this tells me is that this is a company which has a very high level of confidence in both their product, in their repair process and in their technicians!!
I really really hope I never have another crack in my foundation in the future but if I do, this is definitely the company who I will call to do the repair work!! I would have given them a rating of 10 stars!! but it will only allow me to select 5.
